PVC Geomembrane
PVC geomembranes provide reliable defense with excellent puncture, abrasion, and tear resistance. They play a crucial role in environmental containment applications by preventing contaminants and protecting groundwater sources. PVC geomembranes show good resistance to many inorganic chemicals. However, special attention is needed to qualify them for their resistance to organic chemicals. Special PVC alloy grades are available for such applications.
PVC geomembrane liners can be fabricated in panels up to 40,000 square feet, accordion-folded for ease of installation. PVC materials meet the requirements of ASTM D7176 Standard Specification for Non-reinforced Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Geomembranes.
Introduction:
PVC liners are a geosynthetic containment sheet solution to protect potable water resources and aquatic life from harmful leaching of plasticizers or chemicals. PVC non-reinforced geomembranes were developed for applications such as landfills, canals, ponds and other containment purposes. They are formulated to withstand atmospheric pollutants and chemicals commonly found in industrial settings. PVC is available in thicknesses of 20, 30, and 40 mil, typically in gray but also in black. Some versions are UV stable and fish-friendly; consult your GEOPro for details. It should be covered with 1 foot of clean fill, and the slope must not exceed a 3:1 ratio.
Feature:
Flexibility
PVC geomembranes can conform to irregular surfaces, making them ideal for applications involving uneven terrains.
Durability
They are resistant to UV radiation, chemicals, and environmental stress, ensuring long-term performance.
Low Permeability
PVC geomembranes provide excellent impermeability, effectively containing fluids and preventing seepage.
Cost-Effective
Compared to other liner materials, PVC geomembranes offer a cost-efficient solution without compromising quality.
Ease of Installation
Lightweight and flexible, these liners are simple to transport and install, reducing labor and time costs.
