Grass Grid

A grass grid is an eco-friendly material designed to integrate the functions of lawns and hardened surfaces, commonly used in areas such as parking lots and fire lanes.

Product Details

Introduction of Material & Structure:

Typically made from modified high molecular weight HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), it is non-toxic, pollution-free, impact-resistant, and anti-aging. Its unique flat-insert overlapping structure connects the entire paved surface into a smooth whole, preventing local sagging and facilitating construction.Grass Grid

Specifications & Dimensions:

Common sizes include 395mm×415mm×36mm, 385mm×410mm×46mm, and 400mm×420mm×66mm. Each square meter weighs approximately 5kg, making it lightweight and easy to install.

Performance Advantages:

The grass grid provides over 95% grass-planting area, delivering excellent greening effects while absorbing sound and dust. It has strong pressure resistance, with a maximum capacity of 200 tons per square meter—exceeding the load-bearing standard for fire-fighting access surfaces specified in regulations. It also features excellent drainage; the gravel load-bearing layer allows excess rainwater to drain easily, while protecting the lawn (grass roots can grow into the gravel layer). Additionally, it is recyclable, reduces ground heat radiation, and lowers noise pollution.

Application Scope:

Widely used in parking lots, fire lanes, fire-fighting access surfaces, golf cart paths, convention centers, modern factories, high-end residential communities, and rooftop gardens. It meets the needs of vehicle movement or heavy load-bearing while increasing green space and improving the ecological environment.

Construction Key Points:

For base treatment, the foundation soil should be compacted in layers to achieve a compaction degree of over 85%; mucky soil in soft-plastic to flow-plastic state needs to be filled with block stones and compacted. Next, lay a sand-gravel cushion and a stabilization layer, spread organic fertilizer on the base, then pave the grass grids. Fill the grass grids with topsoil, lay sod or sow grass seeds, and water for maintenance. After construction, allow about one month of maintenance before using the area for parking.
