Tree Root Protection
1. TRP provides an alternative to traditional construction methods for paths, roads, and parking areas around trees, protecting tree roots from soil compaction caused by traffic.
2. Traditional methods can damage tree roots, affecting tree health, while TRP is less invasive.
3. TRP reduces sub-base depth by up to 50%, offering significant cost savings.
4. TRP prevents surface rutting, improving long-term performance and aesthetics.
Introduction:
Tree Root Protection System is manufactured from strips of high density polyethylene HDPE cross welded to form cells, the strips can be perforated if required to allow the lateral movement of air and water through the structure. The porous surface also ensures water and air can carry essential nutrients to the trees roots.
TRP is a no dig solution preventing damage to the tree root structure during the installation process. Abweb TRP is quick and easy to install, reduces construction time and in many instances, greatly reduces the depth of imported stone required - saving time and money and reducing the environmental impact of the project.

Feature:
It provides a flexible and permeable solution for protecting tree roots whilst creating a robust and stable platform when creating vehicular or pedestrian access paths.
It has a unique cellular structure and perforated cell walls which reduces the vertical load pressure on sub soils to tree roots, therefore preventing damage. With clean granular materials as infill, air and moisture can
reach the roots to encourage healthy prolonged growth.
With no-dig solutions being the preferred option, TRP is ideal as only the surface vegetation need be removed. As well as avoiding disruption to the roots, this reduces construction times and costs.
TRP offers a practical alternative to traditional methods of construction of paths, roads and parking areas in and around trees. It is used to protect the root structure of the tree from damage caused by compaction of the local soils as a result of vehicular traffic. Traditional methods of construction tend to be invasive and can affect tree health by damaging the root structure.
By using the TRP, sub base depths can be reduced significantly,in most cases by as much as 50%, providing further cost savings. The use of TRP also prevents surface rutting; increasing the long-term performance and aesthetics of the final surface.
