Geocell used in slope protection

1.Clean up the slope

2.Lay PET Nonwoven geotextile.Note:The unit weight of the geotextile is about 150-200gsm.It can help the root of the grass or plants combinate with the holes of the sheet to improve the erosion control function.

3.Lay geocell.Note:When the gradient is below 40°,we recommend the cell depth 100mm or 150mm,the welding distance  from 600 to  800mm.

When the gradient is above 45° ,we recommend the cell depth 100 or 150mm,the welding distance from 400mm to 500mm.

4.Use plastic link to combinate the geocell panels and use fiberglass anchor with the limiting cap to fix geocell.Note:

In this installation,the workers can take place of the fiberglass anchor with steel bar.

So the steel bar with curved hook is ok to fix the geocell.

We need to recommend the length of the fiberglass anchor according to the thickness of the sand.Normally it is

70cm long with 14mm diameter.

We need to use 1.5 suits of anchor and cap per square meter.3 suits of plastic link per square meter.

At the top of the slope,we need to drive the achor into the ground with 34cm interval.(It just for 445mm welding distance,different welding distance has different intervals)

At the side of the slope,the interval is 29cm. (It just for 445mm welding distance,different welding distance has different intervals)

The size of the geocell panel is 5*6m(width*length).

5.Backfill fillers to the geocell and tamp

Note:Backfilling soil with excavator is slow,spray seed machine is better,especially for the slope with big gradient.

6. Planting grass and greening

In the slope protection structure, the surface soil is restrained by three-dimensional geocell fixed by anchor porch to avoid the gravity superposition of the slope,countless“Sand bars” to prevent the surface soil from sliding down; The porous holes of the sheet can effectively reduce the gravity of the water body and prevent the formation of surface runoff, while the roots of the vegetation in the grid run through the anchoring holes of the sheet and form a strong anchoring force by inserting and winding, which can effectively resist the erosion of the water flow, the flexible material and structure can effectively resist the frost heave of the slope body and the filling material in the grid. The honeycomb slope protection system forms the engineering effect of“Slope reinforcement Net”, “Net reinforces soil”, “Soil reinforces grass”, “Net reinforce grass” and“Grass protect slope".
