Erosion Control Mat Installation
Erosion Control Mat Installation
1. Slope Preparation
Clean the slope by removing debris and gravel, fill and compact low-lying areas, then level the surface to ensure smoothness.
2. Laying the Three-Dimensional Vegetation Net
Unroll the three-dimensional vegetation net from the top to the bottom of the slope, ensuring close contact and smooth alignment with the slope surface.
3. Pre-Burial
Reserve 40-80 cm of the vegetation net at the slope crest, bury it in soil, and compact firmly.
4. Anchoring
Secure the vegetation net from top to bottom using U-shaped nails. The nails should be 15-30 cm long, 3 cm wide, and 6 mm in wire diameter. Use No. 8 U-shaped nails for additional reinforcement in the middle section.

5. Soil Covering
After laying the net, evenly spread soil over it to fully cover the net pockets until no gaps remain. Ensure a soil thickness of at least 12 mm. Then, uniformly apply a mixture of fertilizer, growth agents, and adhesive binders. Use NPK compound fertilizer or nitrogen-rich organic matter at a rate of 30-50 grams per square meter.
6. Hydroseeding
Mix grass seeds, growth agents, water, moisture retainers, and wood fibers into a homogeneous slurry. Spray the mixture onto the slope using a hydraulic sprayer, applying approximately 25 grams per square meter.
7. Covering
After hydroseeding, cover the slope surface with non-woven fabric to retain moisture and protect against rainfall erosion.
8. Routine Maintenance
Conduct regular maintenance until the grass seeds germinate and establish. Remove the non-woven fabric once the grass reaches a height of 5 cm.
