Cement Blanket Installation
Cement Blanket Installation Process
Preparations: First, plan and measure the site to ensure proper slope gradient for smooth water flow from top to bottom. Second, level the construction area and mark construction lines according to design drawings, then re-measure drainage gradients.
2. Excavation: Set construction lines as per design specifications. Level both sides of the trench and ensure no loose soil or voids in the slope surface. Compact water-prone areas thoroughly, remove debris and stones, and apply 3:7 lime-soil compaction or grouting reinforcement if necessary. Ensure treated areas maintain excellent stability!
3. Laying: Materials can be laid longitudinally or transversely. Ensure base surface is properly leveled to maintain visual quality.
4. Joint Treatment: ① Create a 10cm horizontal groove at the overlapping cement blanket joints, insert and press the joints flat. ② Stack upper cement blankets over lower ones along water flow direction, ensuring at least 10cm overlap. ③ Apply sealant evenly at joints (or sprinkle cement powder uniformly). ④ Secure two cement blankets with stainless steel screws. ⑤ Trench edge treatment: Fix material edges with rivets, secure overlapping sections with nails, then cover edges with design markings. ⑥ After initial work, water thoroughly for 12 hours, then apply maintenance water every 3 days. Post-maintenance
Notes: 1. This material is designed for central China regions with a service life exceeding 10 years. To extend the service life, it is recommended to carry out maintenance work on the material every 2-3 years. Brush a layer of cement slurry on the surface of the material blanket to effectively extend the service life of the material. 2. The strength of the material should reach 10.0MPa before it can bear the load of personnel and light construction machinery. 3. After watering the material and before the final strength is formed, do not strike or pull the material, and do not use sharp objects to strike the material.
